About Me |
I am a maverick scientist, illustrator and information experience designer who is the Programme Manager at Science Gallery Bengaluru (SGB). I enjoy curating and creating public engagement programmes at the interface of science and culture.
I was a part of Berlin Biennale Curators Programme 2022, a Khoj Curatorial Intensive South Asia Fellow 2021 and a member of the Ars Electronica Creative Producers Programme 2021. I developed the "Xperimenter Programme" a learning and mentorship programme at SGB that was 2022 Finalist at Falling Walls Berlin in the Future Learning category. After completing my first Master's by Research in Biological Sciences from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, I completed my Masters in Information Design from the National Institute of Design, focusing on exhibitions as a means of public engagement with science. I have also been part of organising several public engagement programmes over the years, including "Frontiers of Science" and "Chai and Why". As Programme Manager, I am responsible for the various public engagement programmes of Science Gallery Bengaluru (SGB), which include contemporary art-science exhibition-seasons, learning and mentorship programmes for young adults, community, offsite and digital initiatives, and pop-up exhibitions. At SGB, I have worked on the conceptualisation and curation of 5 exhibitions – ELEMENTS (2019), SUBMERGE (2020), PHYTOPIA (2020), CONTAGION (2021) and PSYCHE (2022). I also work with Science Gallery International and other Science Galleries in Atlanta, Dublin, London, Melbourne, Berlin, Rotterdam and Monterrey on collaborative initiatives. |
