Illustrations for publications

Before design, I was a biologist. These schematics were drawn for papers, theses, grants and reviews: cell biology made legible without losing its accuracy. Concerted Creation grew out of my own research at TIFR, published in PLoS Genetics, and was shown at the International Society for Computational Biology Art Show in Chicago in 2018.

Data visualisation

Two data visualisations, for print and the web. The Story of the Finches uses creative coding tools like Processing and D3.js to tell the story of Darwin's finches and the evolution of their beaks. A Brief History of Scientific Illustrations is a timeline of how science has been drawn.
